The Most Horrible Day

Well what comes to your mind when I say this"Oh my God,it was the most horrible day", some may say that i got a heap of homework,some say I couldn't get a second to relax from work and what not. But for me it was pretty different.

It goes this way. I applied for written examination for Scientist Post in ISRO in Januray 2011 and the exam was supposed to be on April 16th. After my GATE exam, I was enjoying longest summer vacation at my home. And I could hardly study for that as I was roaming to my friends in different cities,relatives etc. But somehow I managed to study in some last hours of few days before exam. My exam centre was given at Hyderabad, the city by now I was known to most of the places and certainly not find any difficulty in searching the location of centre. I left from my home and reached city in midnight around 12 am.Then I realized that I took wrong train and that too in general bogie, it was terrible mess of people in that kind of bogies. Never travel in summer in general Bogie Train. Then got into bus to reach my friends apartment.

                 In morning I reached centre well ahead of time some 2 hours before. Well there was no space to stand in the shade and I was wandering in that hot sun here and there, so were other people. I supposed some other exam was previously going on. Nevertheless time came for exam and I did well in that. Now came time to leave. It was boiling everywhere and I was eager to go home and relax. As I was not having any reservation there was no choice except General Bogie. Around 11O'clock pm,the train came.To my surprise it was so much packed with passengers that on could hardly peep through or step into. Two thoughts came to my mind, one either to stay till  morning to get comfortable seat in next train or get into anyhow.

            The train started leaving the platform and I decided my second thought and hurriedly ran towards train. I was trying to find suitable door of any general bogie atleast to move inside but couldn't. Then after running two bogies I saw military reserved bogie and one man with healthy physique was trying to help me to move inside.I ran faster and carried my hand towards him. The man helped me getting inside and asked to calm down.

                      Television has huge impacts on everyone's life. They say 25% of character reveals what you like on TV. Well, as a kid till 12th standard our family didn't had cable television but only Doordarshan. But that channel had amazing programmes for kids learning like Tarang,Science Reporter,Bhoomi, Surabhi, entertainment programmes lke Shaktimman,Mogli,Mahabharat,Meena etc. The best part was the news channel-most specific,no mirch-masala sort of thing. But as time past by we had to take Cable television.Some of my favorite TV programs are Just for Laugh gags,Great Indian Laughter Challenge(Raju Shrivastav comedy),Discovery's Time Warp,Oogy and Cockraoches etc.

                       I like movies based on true stories like Apollo 13,Defiance, The Pursuit of Happiness etc.Some other types are my animated movies category like Madagascar being favorite one, Kung fu Panda,Up ,Toy Story etc.Technology based like Matrix,Transformers,back to the future.And last Entertaining ones are Dumb and Dumber,500 days of summer,John Tucker must die etc.

                  My favorite TV star is Raju Srivastav and movie star is Jim Carrey and  actress is Katrina Kaif.

                      When it comes to food I cannot wait for anyone to start with Chicken Biryani and naan,boneless chicken are there on table. Amongest Veggies i like lady finger,Tomato chatni, Potato etc. My favorite breakfast is pav-bhaji and Maggi. favorite.   

                 Behind an individual success story there lies the footprints and values learnt from life of great personalities that one admires.No doubt ones parents teaching and values shaping child character are admirable but there is always something more besides this. Personalities I admire are Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar,A.P.J Abdul Kalam,Dhirubhai Ambani,Chatrapati Shahu Maharaj. It is impossible to express in words what I learnt from their life journey and what hurdles they faced.     

               When it comes to my hobbies I like participating in designing competitions like T-shirt,Logo,Invitation cards,Poster design.Dancing in DJ nights along with our buddies is my favorite time to enjoy the most. Reading daily newspapers,sometimes magazines,Gk books and Map reading and most I like is reading about successful personalities life.

                           First of all I would thank GOD His blessings to make my dream come true. My parents who supported me in the midst of every difficult time throughout journey.Well getting admission to IIT is dream of every child in India,so was mine.During B.Tech days,around 2nd Year, I got intrest in some subjects of Enginnering like Communication Systems, Digital Electronics. And them got an idea if I had to learn more I need some beter quality education.Again its not like it wasn't in Btech college.But some highest Institution in India.Then came to my mind that how could I get into the best Engineering colleges like IIT,NIT.Then I made my mind to start early preparations while in 3rd year.To my surprise I got good marks in 2009 GATE exam while I was in 3rd year on special day'my birthday'. And that gave enough confidence to boost myself in final year and push myself in the competition.

                              But I guess,GOD Had different mood.I gave my 100% shot in studies while doing projects,submissions,parties everything, I thought that I was on right track until time came for exam.I did pretty well but not confident of good results.You yourself know what you did in exam. I was so depressed after coming from exam and my friends were very hopeful that this time our buddy will certainly make through this time. Dirty fellow me ,I spoiled myself and my friends hope.On the day of result, I couldn't make eye contact with my best friends,parents everyone.

                             That was a good learning lesson for me and I didn't gave up.I believed that if I could one more chance I can do it.To add to its difficulty I was not placed in any company and that hurt me. After completing Btech I did sincerely classes for GATE exam preparation along with my friends in Hyderabad.And  that period of 8 months of sincere hard work really paid me. With the help of my room mate friends and teachers of ACE,Hyderabad excellent in teaching and I should say that they are more hardworking than us, I was getting good grip in tests.Finally my efforts paid me and I got good marks in GATE 2011 on my birthday as if it was a birthday gift from me to myself. And that time I realized its the time now or never. I was pretty sure that I would be called for interviews. I did well in interview and  got the specialization on which I would like to work in.I was rejoiced to hear my admission news result and that was one of my memorable day.
